Every year offers special event highlights that are well worth a visit. We at PGSA are well informed about what is happening where and when. 2025 - Christmas Markets

Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of Swiss Christmas Markets. From late November to late December, Christmas markets across the country enchant their visitors.

20 November – 21 December: Zurich Over 200 festively decorated shops, around 70 market stalls and magical fireworks await the visitor.
20 November – 24 December: Montreux Experience the magic of Christmas on Lake Geneva and see Santa Claus flying through the air.
27 November – 23 December: Basel This Christmas market is considered one of the most beautiful and largest in Switzerland.

2026 - St. Moritz

23 January – 25 January: Snow Polo World Cup It is the most important snow polo tournament in the world. Six “high goal” teams, made up of world-class players, offer a unique spectacle on the frozen Lake St. Moritz.
08, 15, and 22 February: White Turf Noble thoroughbred horses and international jockeys will showcase fast-paced gallop and trotting races on the frozen lake, as well as the world-exclusive skijoring event. This undisputed highlight is a spectacular form of racing unique to St. Moritz: Riders are pulled on skis by an unridden thoroughbred at speeds of up to 50 km/h over the 2,700-meter course.

2026 - Lucerne

15 January - 25 January: Light Festival Lucerne „Lilu“ During 10 days Lucerne transforms into a luminous meeting place. Artists from all over the world will present the diverse and fascinating facets of light art.
13 August – 13 September: Classic Music Festival Lucerne This event is one of the most renowned international music festivals in the field of classical music, featuring famous orchestras, legendary conductors and virtuoso soloists from all over the world. In addition to this high-profile event, Lucerne offers outstanding music events of various genres throughout the year.

2026 - Basel

19 June - 21 June: Art Basel The international art fair for 20th and 21st century art, is considered the most important art fair worldwide and a significant event for artists, dealers and collectors.
26 June - 28 June: Federal Yodelling Festival It will be held for the first time since 1924 in the cultural city of Basel with countless performances in the yodelling, alphorn blowing and flag-waving categories.
17 July - 25 July: Basel Tattoo The second largest event of its kind after the famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, showcases the best and most spectacular music and show groups from around the world.
