Porsche

An automobile manufacturer specializing in high-performance sports cars, SUVs, and sedans, headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. Porsche, owned nowadays by Volkswagen AG, was founded by Ferdinand Porsche, an Austrian-born automotive engineer, best-known for creating the first gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle.

Audi

The origins of the company are complex, going back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises founded by engineer August Horch leading to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Auto Union was acquired by Volkswagen. The company name is based on the Latin translation of the surname of the founder, August Horch. Horch, meaning listen in German, becomes audi in Latin. The four rings of the Audi logo each represent one of four car companies that banded together to create Audi's predecessor company, Auto Union.

Racing Track

In the Eifel area 1927 the Nürburgring Racetrack was opened initially as Mountain- Race and Test-driving course with a track length of 28 kilometers. The legendary Nürburgring North Loop is till today on of the most spectacularly race experiences, particularly as the quickly changing weather conditions add to the challenge. Till todays the Nürburgring is the longest permanent racetrack. In 1932 the Hockenheim-Ring was built in a few months as test driving ground for Mercedes-Benz. Located close to Heidelberg this racetrack has been modified several times, once even because a highway was newly built. Sportscar & motorcycle races track place there every year and 2019 Max Verstappen was the last F1 winner.
